PT Buanagraha Arthaprima and Artha Graha Peduli Hold Building Evacuation Drill

Artha Graha Peduli, together with PT Buanagraha Arthaprima as the manager of Artha Graha Building, held a joint evacuation drill involving Security Group Artha (SGA), AGP Arthakes, SGA Fire Brigade at the SCBD area, the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Department (Gulkarmat), as well as representatives from Kebayoran Baru Sub-district Office. The activity took place at the SCBD business district, Jakarta, starting at 11:00 AM until completion.
The implementation of this drill is part of management’s commitment to enhancing the preparedness of the Building Emergency Response Team and building occupants in facing emergency situations, while also fulfilling various government regulatory requirements.
This is in line with Law No. 1 of 1970 on Occupational Safety, which requires management to conduct safety drills, as well as Law No. 28 of 2002 on Buildings, which stipulates that every building must meet reliability requirements covering aspects of safety, health, comfort, and accessibility.
In addition, Minister of Manpower Regulation No. PER.05/MEN/1996 on the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) emphasizes that employers must regularly conduct emergency response drills, including fire evacuation simulations at least once a year. A similar provision is also stated in the Decree of the Minister of Public Works No. 10/KPTS/2000 concerning Fire Hazard Protection in Buildings and the Environment, which requires building owners or managers to organize fire evacuation training and drills regularly, at least once a year.
“I would like to thank all tenants who were willing to follow the recommendations from our team and supported this drill well,” said Veni Vanessa Halim, Building Management of Artha Graha Building.
The evacuation drill aims to educate all occupants to remain alert, orderly, and calm in the event of an emergency such as fire or natural disaster. During the implementation, all participants were directed to follow the evacuation route, use emergency stairs, and gather at the designated assembly point, namely the Artha Graha Building Bus Stop. The activity began at 11:00 AM and continued until all participants had gathered in an orderly manner at the assembly point.
The Jakarta Fire and Rescue Department (Gulkarmat) provided technical guidance, supervised the simulation process, and evaluated the implementation to ensure compliance with applicable fire safety standards. Their presence also ensured that the procedures carried out by the Emergency Response Team, building management, and occupants were aligned with local government regulations.
“This activity is important so that the Emergency Response Team and all building occupants become accustomed to understanding evacuation procedures during emergencies. In accordance with regulatory requirements, building management must conduct evacuation drills at least once a year,” concluded Veni.
